About the opportunity
Teads is looking for a Senior Accountant, based in Singapore, reporting to the Head of Accounting, APAC in Singapore. You will play a pinnacle role in managing our successful financial day-to-day operations. This individual will be responsible for managing full spectrum accounting activities for entities in the APAC region.
What will you do?
- Support on full spectrum of accounting functions including AR, AP, GL, bank reconciliation, banking activities, inter-company transactions, cash flow, invoicing, processing of claims
- Provide support for various APAC entities including but not limited to Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong etc
- Liaising with third parties, i.e. external accountants, tax agents etc in the production of local financial statements and tax returns to maintain the highest quality, accuracy and reliability
- Work with inter-related companies and perform intercompany reconciliations
- Participate in month-end quarter-end and year-end closing
- Active support on external and internal audits
- Ensure compliance and quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Work with external tax agent to manage and comply with required tax filings
- Support on monthly employee claims, liaising with HR and external payroll bureau
- Working closely with other departments to ensure smooth process flow
- Engage in continuous improvement of finance and internal control processes to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency of operational accounting functions
- Support ad-hoc tasks as per business needs
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance
- 5 years experience in a general accounting role
- Experienced in a full spectrum accounting role, including intercompany transactions
- Knowledge or experience in handling the APAC region (i.e. Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand etc), with financial and tax regulations knowledge to ensure compliance will be advantageous
- Careful attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of work
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadline
- Highly motivated individual contributor
- Proficient use of ERP systems like Xero, NetSuite and Concur, MS Office program including advanced Excel
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with ease and take ownership of assigned tasks or projects
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Experience in the Media or Ad Tech industry is preferred but not required
