About the opportunity 

We’re seeking a Senior Internal Audit Manager who is proactive, analytical, and highly motivated—someone who excels both independently and in collaborative settings. The ideal candidate brings energy, curiosity, and passion to their work, thriving in the fast-paced environment of a growing digital organization. This role reports directly to the Director of Internal Controls.

What will you do?

  • Lead SOX and Internal audit projects, including annual scoping, risk assessments, and control design and evaluation.
  • Oversee all phases of SOX compliance, including the design, testing, documentation, and remediation of controls related to financial reporting
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (such as  Finance, IT, Legal, Sales, and R&D), including providing training and education as needed
  • Liaise with external auditors and senior management to coordinate testing, address control deficiencies, and ensure timely remediation.
  • Critically evaluate internal control deficiencies to identify root causes, assess risk exposure and business impact, and partner with control owners to develop and implement targeted remediation plans.
  • Develop and maintain SOX documentation including narratives, flowcharts, RCMs (Risk and Control Matrices), and testing templates.
  • Prepare and deliver periodic status reports, dashboards, and presentations to Finance leadership and the Audit Committee.
  • Mentor and manage junior team members or consultants supporting SOX and internal control projects.

 

What will you bring to the team?

  • 15 - 20 years of internal audit experience, preferably in a Big 4 public accounting firm experience and/or a public company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CA, CIA, CFE, CISA, or equivalent is required.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Deep understanding of internal control frameworks (COSO), GAAP, and risk-based auditing methodologies.
  • Proven knowledge of IT systems and the ability to integrate technology considerations into SOX assessments.
  • Demonstrated success leading SOX compliance programs and internal control evaluations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information.

Nice To Have

  • Preferred experience using data analytic and AI tools
  • Experience in technology and/or internet advertising industries
