About the Role

As a Sales Manager at StraitsX, you will be responsible for driving new revenue growth across ASEAN by identifying, engaging, and closing high-value business opportunities. This is a highly commercial, hunter-focused role suited for individuals who thrive on building pipeline from scratch, navigating complex sales cycles, and consistently exceeding targets.

Reporting directly to the Director, you will take ownership of the entire sales process—from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and deal closure. You will work closely with Product, Compliance, Operations, and Leadership teams to develop compelling solutions that address client needs and accelerate business growth.

We are looking for a driven sales professional who is energized by winning new business, opening doors with strategic prospects, and building long-term commercial partnerships in the fintech and digital assets ecosystem.

What You Will Do 

  • Drive new business acquisition through proactive prospecting, outreach, and relationship building.
  • Own the full sales cycle from lead generation and qualification through negotiation and deal closure.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities to consistently achieve sales targets.
  • Develop and execute account penetration strategies to engage key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Lead commercial discussions, handle objections effectively, and navigate complex sales processes.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Operations, and Engineering teams to deliver client solutions and support onboarding.
  • Represent StraitsX at industry events, conferences, and ecosystem engagements to generate leads and expand market presence.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years of business development, sales, or commercial experience in a quota-carrying role.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and closing new business opportunities.
  • Strong hunter mentality with experience in outbound prospecting, pipeline generation, and client acquisition.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior decision-makers and C-level executives.
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Strong negotiation, objection-handling, and solution-selling skills.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, digital assets, SaaS, or other technology sectors is preferred; exposure to complex B2B sales cycles and ASEAN markets is advantageous.
