Digital Payments Internship

About the Role

This internship role falls within the Digital Payments team under the Commercial division of the Company. Throughout the internship, the candidate will be focusing on lead generation, qualification, and securing appointments with our commercial team. In addition, there will be ample opportunities given in driving sales, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and crafting data-driven strategies to propel StraitsX's position within the dynamic digital asset and blockchain payments landscape.

You will work closely with the Head of Commercial and internal teams from Product, Operations, Compliance and Legal to craft, design and execute winning solutions to fit the needs of our Enterprise clients.

What You Will Do

  • Work with the broader commercial team, event participation and social media outreach to generate leads and identify potential customers interested in our products.
  • Engage with leads through the Deal Qualification Criteria process – to understand their needs, pain points, and budget constraints to qualify them as potential prospects for our solutions.
  • Proactively reach out to qualified leads to schedule appointments with our sales team for product demonstrations and further discussions.
    Database Management: Maintain accurate and organized records of all leads and interactions in our CRM system, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
  • To work closely with the product team to understand level one of product differentiation, features and functionalities as well as able to do basic demo if required.
  • Work closely with the commercial teams to align lead generation efforts, provide feedback on lead quality, and contribute ideas for improving lead generation campaigns. Where necessary, to participate in physical marketing events and campaigns to drive demand.

What We Are Looking For

  • Diploma holder / Degree in any discipline
  • Experience from Tech, SaaS and experience in selling software will be a plus
  • Strong organisation skills to support the end to end sales process, including generation of leads and fixing appointments for our Sales
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with prospects.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and succeed in a sales environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
