About the Role

As a Business Development Manager at StraitsX, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth across the ASEAN market. You will help cultivate strategic partnerships, support existing clients, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.

Reporting directly to the Business Development Lead, you will work closely with teams across Compliance, Product, and Operations to identify opportunities, streamline processes, and contribute to the overall success of StraitsX’s business initiatives.

What You Will Be Doing 

  • Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to proposal, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients to ensure long-term engagement and satisfaction.
  • Respond to client inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a high level of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and inform strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare and present data-driven sales reports, partnership proposals, and performance insights to guide strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Compliance, Product, Engineering, and Operations to streamline processes, improve client experience, to deliver seamless client experiences and effective solutions
  • Engage in industry events and ecosystem partnerships to strengthen StraitsX’s brand presence and drive joint go-to-market initiatives.
  • Prepare and present client-facing materials such as pitch decks, capability presentations, and solution briefs.

What We Are Looking For

  • Pro-active self starter attitude
  • Minimum of 3 years business development experience
  • Fluent in English and Chinese, with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with internal and external senior stakeholders
  • You are forward-thinking and approach challenges with a solution-orientated approach
  • Team player and you are comfortable and determined in dealing with challenging situations (i.e. objection handling, overcoming gatekeepers, etc.)
  • Solid organization, multi‐tasking, and prioritization skills, including acute attention to detail as well as effective time management
  • Tech-savvy with good knowledge of using G-suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Google docs, sheets, etc.)
  • Exposure and broad understanding of the Digital Assets and FinTech sector

Accordingly, if you are located outside of the United States, your personal data will be transferred to the United States once you submit it through this site. The Controller will ensure that such transfers are subject to arrangements that provide a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA.

In accordance with Section 25 of the PDPA, the Controller will cease to retain documents containing your personal data, or remove the means by which the data can be associated with you, as soon as it is no longer required for (a) the purposes for which it was collected, or (b) for legal or business purposes, including considering you for future opportunities. Under the PDPA, you have the right to request access to your personal data, to request that your personal data be rectified, and to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights or to withdraw your consent, you may contact the Controller’s data protection officer using the details above.

Please note that providing your personal data is necessary for us to evaluate your job application.
