S-RM is recruiting a Developer to play a key role in the development and maintenance of products for our Corporate Intelligence team.

THE ROLE
This role will be working as part of a larger software team supporting our Corporate Intelligence team in the development of complex intelligence software products.
We expect that the following will be component of the key responsibilities for this position:
- Work with DevOps engineers to maintain automated lifecycle operations including build, test, integration and deployment pipelines
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the team through participation in refinement, planning and retrospective meetings
- Ensure code adheres to best practices around unit testing, integration testing and security
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes,
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Work in a cross-functional team of Product Managers, Developers, Devops and cyber security experts to design and deliver solutions that meet business needs
- Opportunity to work across multiple teams and products.
The role will be based in our London or our Cape Town office; however, we have flexible working arrangements available.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We think candidates with the following skills and experience are likely to succeed as a Developer at S-RM.

We’re looking for someone that is able to adapt to change and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment, this person will have some or all of these skills:
- Degree level education in a computer science, maths or related numerate subject, OR equivalent practical experience,
- Strong experience with PHP and Symfony framework (or similar application framework),
- Proficiency in working with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, and non-SQL databases),
- Experience developing AWS cloud services and hands-on deployment experience,
- A good understanding of application development and best practices,
- Any capabilities with Golang and/or JavaScript would be beneficial.
Any of the following personal skills would be very beneficial in this position:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a small, agile team,
- Highly organised and well-structured when approaching problems and solutions,
- A proven ability to work from idea to a working feature,
- Attention to detail and desire to deliver high-quality results,
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with business stakeholders to understand the problems and contribute to technical discussions.
The successful candidate must have permission to work in the the location you apply to by the start of their employment.
