Join Our Team  

SiriusPoint has a unique opportunity for a Senior P&C Claims Auditor to join our Global Claims Governance team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing risk-based audits that assess the technical claims handling performance, key controls, and Program compliance for various insurance programs, helping to strengthen the overall claims functions.  You’ll partner closely with claims leaders to measure performance, evaluate case reserving, and identify risks, and deliver clear, actionable insights that drive meaningful improvements.

This position offers the chance to enhance insurance operations while contributing to high-impact audit engagements, leveraging data analytics, and helping shape the evolution of Claims Governance and Audit practices. If you’re a curious, claims professional will analytical and problem-solving skills, this role provides a strong platform to make a tangible impact and provide growth and advancement within a global organization.  This position will report to the Global Head of Claims Governance & Oversight.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

Claims Audit Execution & Delivery

• Execute risk-based P&C claim audits across within the North America across multiple lines of business.
• Assess technical claims handling performance, case reserve accuracy, and other core claim functions amongst various claim administrators.
• Apply Claims Audit methodology and professional standards to deliver high-quality, consistent audit outcomes.
• Leverage data analytics to enhance claims audit coverage, risk assessment, and testing approaches.
• Develop audit claims samples and workbooks to capture all required key performance indicators and contractual obligations of SiriusPoint’s claims administrators.
• Evaluate claims administrator internal claims control environments across business operations.
• Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and industry expectations relevant to the insurance sector.
• Produce audit reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.

 

Issue Management & Stakeholder Engagement

• Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and emerging risks, with a focus on practical, value-added recommendations.
• Prepare clear, concise audit reports with findings and actionable recommendations.
• Partner with business stakeholders to develop appropriate remediation actions.
• Track and follow up on audit issues through to resolution, ensuring sustainable outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with business and functional stakeholders across the organization.
• Communicate audit observations with clarity and professionalism, providing balanced and constructive challenge.
• Coordinate with Program Management and Underwriting Teams for corrective actions and stewardship.
• Support audit leadership in delivering insights to senior management, as appropriate

 

Continuous Improvement & Insight

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of Claims Audit methodology, tools, and practices.
• Support the adoption of data analytics, automation, and continuous auditing techniques.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes, strengthen controls, and enhance overall operational effectiveness.

 

Your skills and abilities should include:

• The position requires a minimum of 15+ years’ experience in claims handling or supervisory roles, and with at least 5+ years claim audit experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of property & casualty claims and Delegated Claims Authority claims model.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or related discipline preferred.
• Basic knowledge of state and federal regulatory insurance environments, underwriting, and reinsurance.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Ability to engage at various stakeholder engagements and client/stewardship meetings.
• Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) Certification or other similar certifications a plus.
• Some travel is required for internal business meetings and external engagements (~25%)
• Strong IT skills, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
