JOIN OUR TEAM

As Senior International Regulatory Reporting Accountant, you will report to the Regulatory Reporting Manager and be based in our London office.

You will lead the preparation of quarterly and annual Solvency II returns and support the wider regulatory finance requirements of our European operations, with a particular focus on Sweden and the United Kingdom. The role requires close collaboration with colleagues in London and Stockholm and with stakeholders across Finance, Actuarial, Risk, Capital, Legal and Compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and submission of:
    • Quarterly and annual solvency II submission for the Swedish entity and international group (solo + group) to the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (SFSA).
    • Quarterly and annual Solvency II submission for the SINT UK branch to the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA).
    • Annual SFCR and RSR.
    • Periodical reporting to the NAIC (National Association of Insurance Commissioners)
    • Stakeholder/local requirements such as FCA, ABI, Swedish FSA, SCB and ONS data requests
    • Manage the regulatory reporting timetable, coordinate inputs and approvals, and ensure all submissions meet prescribed deadlines.
  • Interpret regulatory reporting requirements, provide clear guidance to stakeholders and monitor changes to relevant standards and supervisory expectations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal regulatory reporting queries and support effective engagement with external stakeholders.
  • Identify reporting risks, design and operate proportionate controls, and ensure adherence to internal governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain clear process documentation, control evidence and audit trails.
  • Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of regulatory reporting systems, processes and automation.
  • Complete supplementary regulatory activities and provide analysis or information as required.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the FCA Individual Conduct Rules and the Employee Handbook.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties consistent with the scope and seniority of the role.

Technical Skills and Experience

  • A recognised professional accounting qualification, such as ACA, ACCA or an equivalent, with at least five years of post-qualification experience in the insurance or reinsurance sector.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading Solvency II reporting for UK and European insurance entities, including quantitative returns and narrative disclosures.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting governance, controls and documentation requirements.
  • A self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently, take ownership and exercise sound judgement.
  • Proven ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work under pressure and within demanding reporting deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and dependencies effectively.
  • A flexible, collaborative and hands-on approach, with a willingness to contribute across the broader team.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of the wider Microsoft Office suite
