Join Our Team
You will be an Underwriting Assistant – Global Programs. You will report to the Head of Global PC Programs Underwriting Authority, Oversight and Controls. The role will support the Global Programs underwriting team in the evaluation, administration, and oversight of program business across multiple lines and territories. This role involves assisting with underwriting documentation, data quality, reporting, and the coordination of program activity, while supporting internal stakeholders and broker relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist underwriters in the preparation and processing of underwriting documentation, including binders, contracts policy wordings and endorsements and other program related documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of underwriting activities in the SiriusPoint underwriting systems ensuring completeness, consistency and data quality.
- Support the underwriting team in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documentation for internal and external meetings.
- Assist in the coordination and administration of underwriting projects and initiatives.
- Provide general administrative support to the underwriting team, including managing correspondence, and maintaining digital underwriting files.
- Assist in specific elements of the quarterly book closing process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of underwriting-related data and supporting the finance team in achieving reliable financial reporting outcomes.
- Produce, analyse, and interpret a range of underwriting reports, conducting detailed controls and validations to ensure the consistency, integrity, and accuracy of Global Programs underwriting data.
- Act as a key contact for underwriting data quality, exception reporting, and control processes, supporting adherence to internal governance, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with IT to continuously enhance, update, and evolve underwriting systems, identifying opportunities for technological improvements and participating in the development and implementation of system upgrades.
- Drive initiatives to enhance, streamline, and automate underwriting processes wherever feasible, identifying and implementing best practices and technological solutions to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
Your skills and abilities should include:
- Previous experience in an underwriting support role or other position within insurance and/or reinsurance is preferred, ideally with exposure to program business.
- Demonstrable understanding of insurance and reinsurance underwriting principles, with awareness of program structures, underwriting processes, and portfolio administration.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- An interest in driving process efficiency and automation is highly valued.

In determining the actual salary within this range, SiriusPoint will consider a candidate’s relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors.
SALARY RANGE
$70,000 - $85,000 USD
