Send is a rapidly growing InsurTech company founded in 2017 by our three Co-Founders, Andy, Matt, and Ben, all with extensive experience within the Insurance sector. Their driving force behind founding Send was their collective vision to reshape and enhance the processes of commercial insurers by seamlessly integrating advanced technology and deep expertise.
Sendâs core product is the Underwriting Workbench, a single platform that enhances the underwriting process for commercial insurers and reinsurers. Our AI-rich, cloud-based platform automates tasks, supports new business, renewals and endorsements. The Workbenchâs intelligent features enables commercial and specialty underwriters to automate admin-intensive tasks, streamline operations, and store data in one single platform.
In 2023, Send launched Smart Submission, a powerful tool designed to streamline the submission element of risk. Leveraging advanced AI technology, Smart Submission extracts data, auto-populates risk submissions, and highlights any missing information.
Weâve implemented our Underwriting Workbench solution in some of the largest and most reputable tier one insurers and reinsurers across North America, Europe and the Middle East. The best bit though? We're just getting started!
In 2022 we were recognised by Insurance Times as theâŻTechnology Innovation of the Year for UnderwritingâŻat the Tech & Innovation Awards. In 2023, we were named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide P&C Intelligent Workbench Applications. And in 2024 weâve followed this up by being shortlisted for the âGlobal P&C Technology Partner of the Yearâ award at the Axco Global Insurance Awards, and being named as a Top Insurance Employer in the UK by Insurance Business.

In the past 18 months, we've expanded by over 50% to a team of 80 based across the UK, USA, India, Ireland and Poland. Our team is remote-first, with the option to use our London office for those in the UK who prefer that. We believe choice is the future of work and trust our team will find a work arrangement that works best for them. In 2024, we've become a Certified by Flexa and listed in the Flexa Top 100 Employers for our approach to flexible and remote working.

From 2017 to 2022, we bootstrapped our growth journey, transforming into a profitable and stable company. In November 2022, after a year of remarkable expansion in our revenue and team, we successfully obtained ÂŁ9M in Series A funding to accelerate our expansion in the UK and US and our product development.
