THE MISSION
As Senior Product Manager for our checkout products (online checkout, card and barcode) you will own the payment experiences that power millions of transactions and unlock significant revenue growth for Scalapay.
In the role you will own the end-to-end strategy and execution of all Scalapay checkout products, balancing deep technical knowledge and commercial acumen with relentless data-driven optimization of our funnels and conversion metrics.
Reporting to the Director of Product for the consumer stream, in this role you will become an expert in digital payments. We are looking for a high-performing data-driven candidate that brings enthusiasm, passion and creativity to challenge the impossible and transform the way customers pay. You will work both at the strategic level (assessing competitors, understanding our customers, generating bold and innovative ideas and building a vision for your products) and at the tactical level (strong ability to execute and sense of ownership, experiments).
What you will do:
- Own customer experiences and performance across Scalapay core checkout products (vision, roadmap and execution).
- Deeply understand technical requirements and work with other internal teams (risk and payment) to ensure smooth integrations across all different checkout products.
- Immerse yourself in checkout analytics and data: conversion rate, drop-off analysis, error rates etc., to drive high impact product improvements
- Run experiments at scale and establish a continuous improvement framework within the team and translate results into high-velocity iterations.
- Engage with internal stakeholders like legal and compliance to ensure regulatory compliance within our products while balancing conversion and customer experience.
- Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming and feature launches; define clear success criteria and oversee post-launch monitoring.
You’ll be great for this role if you:
- Have 3-5 years experience managing a high-volume transaction consumer product (e.g., ecommerce checkout, digital payments).
- Possess a strong sense of ownership and a proven track record of driving high impact product launches and improvements ( we will ask this during the interview).
- Are a problem solver and can break down complex problems systemically. You genuinely enjoy immersing yourself in data and insights and turning them into tangible, positive changes for our customers and our business. You bring a start-up mindset and are not afraid to source your own data.
- Have strong customer empathy and are comfortable in engaging with customers and merchants to gather feedback and uncover insights and opportunity.
- Have clear urgency to move quickly, scrappy when necessary, but understand the importance of accuracy in a high-volume and regulated transactional environment.
- Are fluent in English (you will work with teams across multiple countries). Italian, French or Spanish are a plus.
- Are able to create mockups and UX flow to communicate your idea quickly and efficiently with both designers and engineers.
- Experience in a regulated environment would be a plus.
