About the role

In this role, the Tax Manager will be working within the Payment Institute of the Scalapay Group, a regulated entity under Bank of Italy control, and he/she will be in charge to monitor the company’s fiscal matters.

He/She will directly report to the Finance Director of the Scalapay Group.

You will:

  • Produce VAT, LIPE, Intrastat declarations, withholding tax and other recurring ordinary tax topics (with the support of an external tax advisor);
  • Annual declaration (IRES and IRAP);
  • Fiscal topics for cross-border entities (i.e.: transfer pricing);
  • Monitor the evolution of tax and regulations, ensuring fiscal compliance and timely implementation of regulatory updates (Italian and European);
  • Work closely with the legal dept supporting to check the fiscal aspects;
  • Work closely with fiscal advisors of the Group;
  • Closing annual statutory Financial Statements and contributing to the annual Group Consolidated Financial Statements;
  • Grant compliance and respect of internal policy and procedures;
  • Support the dept. in the improvements of accounting and fiscal processes and procedures;
  • Take part in ad hoc projects and have the opportunity to put forward and drive projects on your own (i.e. VAT Group and Fiscal consolidation).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/tax for financial services;
  • 5-8 years of experience in finance/tax dept. or chartered accountancy firm;
  • Excellent tax skills (VAT, withholding tax, etc);
  • Good working knowledge of OIC (ITA GAAP), IAS/IFRS;
  • Preparation of financial statements (preferably from banks);
  • Flexible, proactive, curious and self-motivated with excellent organizational skills;
  • Good English speaker;
  • Have good computer software skills, Excel; 
  • Chartered Accountant will be a plus.

Recruitment process:

  • Initial call with Talent Acquisition and Finance Director;
  • Practical case or technical discussion with Senior Leadership
  • Final meeting with Scalapay's CEO
