
Financial Controller

Profile Overview
This is a critical role in our global Finance team that manages accounting, controlling and legal functions across our growing group of 24+ portfolios under our umbrella. You will report to our Head of Controlling and own all aspects of the portfolio performance.
In your daily work you will often interact with our CFO, Director of Accounting and Tax and the managing directors of many of our portfolio brands. You are the go-to person for all financial questions related to all portfolios, from revenue to EBITDA. You will be expected to embrace AI tools (such as Claude, Abacum, and automation platforms) as core parts of your workflow. The ideal candidate sees AI as a way to work smarter and focus on what matters.

Your responsibilities
- Own the full P&L on a portfolio level. You are the go-to person for all financial questions related to your assigned brands, from revenue to EBITDA
- Lead the monthly controlling cycle, ensuring accuracy, speed, and clarity of financial outputs
- Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly internal reporting, including budget-to-actual variance analysis and commentary for brand management and leadership
- Contribute to the preparation of annual budget planning, rolling forecasts, and reforecasts in collaboration with cost and profit center managers
- Support the month-end closing process in coordination with the accounting team to ensure reporting accuracy
- Leverage AI tools and automation to streamline recurring tasks: closing comments, data validation, variance analysis, and ad-hoc reporting
- Support the further development and maintenance of our FP&A and reporting tools (Abacum, NetSuite)
- Perform ad hoc analyses, financial modeling, and other financial support to the management team
What You bring to the table
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience in finance, controlling, or FP&A
- Solid understanding of P&L structures and month-end closing processes
- Highly diligent with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in reported financial data
- Proficient user of Excel and Google Sheets (financial models and analysis)
- Independent, structured, solution-oriented and analytical way of working
- Great time management skills and strong ability to stay organized and deliver closer to financial deadlines.
- Confident communicator who can field financial questions from non-finance stakeholders
- Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate and automate workflow
- Strong English communication skills
Nice to have
- SaaS industry experience
- Multi-entity, multi-currency experience
- Experience with Abacum, NetSuite, or similar FP&A forecasting tools
- Exposure to automation tools or scripting a plus
- Progress toward ACCA / ACA / CIMA
Working hours
- Ability to work within or overlap with European business hours
