Permira is looking to hire an Intern for a 12-month period within the Global Capital Formation team, to be based in London. The role will focus on project management tasks across both private equity and private credit.
We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and good organisation skills, who can work as part of a close team, but also be a self starter. The successful candidate should be professional, demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to learn and develop a career within the IR function of a leading global private equity firm.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising and investor support:
- Supporting the preparation of fundraising materials and analysis, including IM, DDQ, case studies, RFIs and related analysis
- Updating the CRM system and helping to manage investor data rooms
Quarterly valuations and reporting:
- Supporting the preparation of quarterly valuation materials
Investor presentations and reporting:
- Supporting the preparation of materials and analysis that present Permira’s strategy, organisation and investment performance
- Helping to respond to investor requests
Company, competitor and fund analysis:
- Analysis of portfolio company financial performance, KPIs and value creation
- Analysis of Permira’s track record including performance against relevant public and private benchmarks
- Conducting market research and analysis of competitive dynamics
Background & Essential Skills
Desired Experience / Background:
- Undergraduate degree required (financial or business-related a plus but not essential)
- Internship experience is a plus, but not essential
- Good standard of education to A Level or equivalent
- Doing internships elsewhere or have done a few through course of university career
Essential Skills and Characteristics:
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Inquisitive mindset with an eagerness to learn and make improvements
- Interest in finance, private equity and/or asset management dynamics with an understanding of investment concepts
- Team player and good at quickly building relationships with colleagues across the organisation
- High level of self motivation, integrity and enthusiasm with a strong desire to improve systems and processes
- Ability to multi task with excellent time management skills and good attention to detail
- Resilient and willing to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
- IT skills including usage of PowerPoint & Excel
