Senior Associate, Fund Finance (Private Credit)

Permira Credit is seeking a qualified accountant to join its Luxembourg finance team, taking ownership of accounting and investor reporting across our private credit fund structures. A permanent role supporting the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of direct lending Credit Funds, including review of accounting records, annual accounts, capital account statements and investor reports
  • Support the boards of directors of the credit funds and SPVs on corporate, legal and tax matters related to fund governance
  • Maintain and oversee corporate records and statutory files for credit funds and SPVs
  • Coordinate and oversee the year-end audit
  • Manage cash flows, including the initiation and oversight of distributions, capital calls and related activity
  • Supervise deal execution
  • Review foreign tax reporting and oversee the annual Luxembourg tax compliance process, as well as ad-hoc tax-related requests
  • Support the implementation of the funds' hedging strategy
  • Assist with specific transactions and restructurings by liaising with administrators, tax and legal advisors
  • Support the Capital Formation team with fund finance-related cyclical and ad-hoc queries
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects, including process automation and data strategy

Essential Skills and Characteristics

  • Strong academic background, ideally with successful completion of an accounting qualification through a recognised institute (ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA, etc.)
  • Between 6 and 10 years of experience in private equity, private credit or the broader asset management sector
  • Fluent and able to work in English
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience using WSO or similar systems is advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously across a variety of products and workstreams
  • Highly personable, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
  • Excellent team-working skills; the role involves extensive interaction with both operational and investment professionals globally
  • Strong analytical skills and highly numerate
  • Attention to detail and the ability to interpret and explain data
  • An interest in the dynamics of alternative asset management, complemented by a broad understanding of capital markets and investment concepts
  • Comfortable working within an international environment involving cross-office collaboration
