We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Growth Marketing to drive our marketing strategy and execution for the independent hotels segment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing strategies that drive growth in marketing leads and opportunities, streamline processes, and enhance the effectiveness of our go-to-market motions. This role requires a strong combination of leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution.
What You’ll Do:
- Report directly to the CMO and lead the strategy and execution of the marketing plan for our independent hotel business segment.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a small team of high-performing marketers focused on growth across multiple channels including email marketing, paid media, and field marketing.
- Embrace a player-coach mindset, actively participating in the execution while guiding your team to success.
- Think like an entrepreneur, moving quickly and adapting strategies to drive growth; work effectively across various teams to achieve business goals.
- Collaborate with product, design, and sales teams to optimize the website, build self-serve flows, and experiment with go-to-market strategies.
- Lead growth initiatives, test multiple channels, and analyze data to refine and optimize marketing efforts.
- Leverage experience with freemium and free trial models to build compelling offers and promotional packages tailored to the SMB market.
- Develop and implement referral programs and strategies to enhance product virality and expand the customer base.
- Use data-driven insights to continuously improve marketing effectiveness, identify new growth opportunities, and scale successful initiatives.
Where will you have impact:
- Design and implement growth marketing strategies and campaign frameworks for rapid testing and learning.
- Lead initiatives to drive lead generation through email marketing, paid media, webinars, and events.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to create digital user journeys that convert prospects into trials and onboard them through product-led growth.
- Set performance targets, create reports, and optimize the team’s efforts.
- Optimize lead scoring, routing, and nurturing to maintain an efficient marketing and sales funnel.
- Work closely with sales to ensure leads are nurtured, feedback is collected, and strategies are refined.
- Partner with field and event marketing resources to plan in-person events that drive leads and enhance brand presence.
Who You Are
- Experienced Professional: You have 8 to 15 years of total work experience, with 3 to 5 years specifically in growth marketing roles, demonstrating your expertise and ability to lead high-impact initiatives.
- Data-Driven Marketer: You have a proven track record in building and executing growth marketing strategies across various channels and geographies. You excel at delivering results against aggressive growth targets, using data to guide decision-making.
- Detail-Oriented and Operationally Excellent: Your meticulous attention to detail ensures that marketing programs are executed flawlessly. You are committed to operational excellence and continuously seek ways to optimize processes.
- Experimental and Tech-Savvy: You thrive on experimentation, leveraging data and marketing technologies like personalization and automation to enhance performance and efficiency. You're not afraid to try new approaches and learn from results.
- Exceptional Communicator: A natural communicator who can adapt your style to connect with anyone—whether it’s your team, cross-functional partners, or executives. You know how to translate complex marketing data into clear insights and actionable plans.
- Analytical and Strategic Thinker: You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to uncover valuable insights and incorporate them into your marketing initiatives. You build data-driven roadmaps that drive growth and optimize campaign performance.
- Agile and Adaptive: Comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic environments, you can pivot quickly, test multiple strategies, and adjust plans on the fly. You enjoy working in a scrappy setting, focusing on practical, high-impact tactics.
- Performance-Driven: You are passionate about analyzing marketing funnels and measuring ROI. You thrive on hands-on performance analysis and enjoy diving deep into data to find what drives results.
- Proficient in Marketing Tools: You have hands-on experience with key marketing platforms, including HubSpot or Marketo, Salesforce, and Google Analytics—not just as a manager, but as a user who can execute and optimize campaigns directly.
- Broad Channel Expertise: You bring experience across paid media, email marketing, event marketing, and content marketing. You understand how to blend these tactics into cohesive, full-funnel strategies that drive both online and offline engagement.
- Collaborative Leader: You have a strong track record of working closely with Sales, Product, and other Marketing teams, aligning strategies to meet shared growth goals. You are a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Willing to Travel: You are open to light travel, approximately 5% - 10%, to attend events, collaborate with team members, or engage with partners.

You’ll be part of a dynamic team, reporting directly to the CMO, with a focus on independent hotels. You’ll manage a small team of high-performing marketers, taking a hands-on approach as a player-coach. Collaboration with product, design, and sales teams will be key as you drive website optimization, build self-serve flows, and experiment with go-to-market strategies.
