Events Marketing Specialist (Malaysia)

Lighthouse is looking for a Field Marketing Specialist contractor in Malaysia to join our global Demand Generation team and work in a collaborative environment to meet regional marketing growth targets. You will be working hand in hand with our Senior APAC Field Marketing Specialist and be responsible for execution of our APAC-based industry trade shows and self-hosted events(in-person and digitally).  

You are goal-driven, detailed-oriented, and are passionate about event marketing. This is a hands-on role where you will have direct ownership of delivering in-market event activities in support with the regional sales teams. You are expected to execute for your markets independently, and collaborate with other field marketers who are responsible for other regions across the globe.  

What You'll Own:

  • Develop a trusted partnership with regional sales teams and support regional market needs to produce marketing leads and accelerate pipeline growth 
  • Own the planning, creation and execution of all field marketing activities for your markets in APAC, ensuring return of investment is tracked and reported for events 
  • Create and coordinate assets for event programs including recruitment emails, landing pages, social media posts, event content and post event follow up
  • Communicate your regional sales and market needs to the global marketing team and other relevant teams across the organisation 
  • Conduct, gather and analyse market research to identify new opportunities to grow the APAC market 
  • Own field marketing KPIs, evaluating performance, sharing results and recommendations with sales and marketing teams on events 
  • Enable your regional sales teams with Marketing activations that are running in your market

Experience you’ll need:

  • 1-2 years of event marketing experience with a focus in software/technology (B2B) and preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Experience partnering with internal and external stakeholders, preferably sales teams.
  • Proven record in managing event budgets and measuring event ROI 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English, other APAC languages are a plus
  • Some experience with relevant software applications including MS Office, Salesforce.com, HubSpot, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Google Suite preferable
  • Prior experience working with a global marketing team preferable
