Senior Data & Systems Manager (m/f/d) - Munich

Your Tasks
- Data Governance & KPI Standards: You develop standardized KPI definitions, data logic, and governance standards, creating a reliable single source of truth across multiple systems. Operational system administration and infrastructure management are not part of this role.
- Data Quality & Consolidation: You identify inconsistencies, harmonize data structures, and ensure that our data becomes clean, transparent, and scalable in the long term.
- Systems Governance & Tool Landscape: You strategically evolve our system landscape, reduce redundant tools, and establish sustainable governance frameworks.
- Data Flows & Integrations: You understand how data moves between systems, analyze existing processes, and design clean, scalable approaches for integrations and data structures.
- Roles, Permissions & Security Structures: You support the further development of role, permission, and governance frameworks in collaboration with the responsible system owners and compliance functions.
- Bridging Business & Data Logic: You translate business requirements into clear and sustainable data and system structures and work closely with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Tool Evaluation & Scaling: You support the selection, assessment, and continuous improvement of tools and systems with a focus on governance, efficiency, and long-term scalability.
- Building the Foundation for Automation & AI: You do not develop AI products yourself, but you create the structural foundations that enable reporting, automation, and AI initiatives to scale effectively.
Your Profile
- Experience with Data & System Landscapes: You have successfully built, consolidated, or further developed complex data and system environments and are familiar with the challenges related to governance and scalability.
- Governance Mindset: You think in a structured way, develop sustainable standards, and understand the interdependencies between data, processes, and systems.
- KPI & Data Expertise: You have experience with KPI definitions, reporting frameworks, data models, identifiers, and data quality management.
- Technical Understanding: You do not need to be a traditional software developer or system administrator, but you have a solid understanding of modern data and system landscapes and how they interact.
- Systems Thinking: You identify weaknesses, critically challenge existing structures, and develop pragmatic solutions that create long-term value.
- Hands-on Mentality: You work independently, proactively drive initiatives forward, and feel comfortable building structures and processes in a dynamic environment.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: You can communicate complex topics in a clear and understandable way and collaborate effectively with a wide range of teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with Modern Data Stacks: Ideally, you have worked with technologies such as Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Metabase, or comparable tools.
