Spain

At Nuvolar, we build tailor-made solutions for complex and highly regulated environments, combining modern technology with a people-first mindset. With over 100 professionals and 14+ years of experience, we foster a collaborative culture that encourages professional growth, continuous learning, and personal well-being.

Join us as a Data Migration Manager to lead the local data migration workstream for a large-scale SAP S/4HANA Cloud migration within a global FMCG organization undergoing a major digital transformation.

About the Role

We are looking for a Data Migration Manager to lead and coordinate the Spanish data migration activities within a global SAP S/4HANA rollout. You will act as the local owner of data integrity, ensuring that all migrated data is accurate, validated, and ready for business across Finance, Supply Chain, and Commercial domains.

This role requires strong SAP data expertise, international coordination skills, and the ability to bridge technical migration teams with local business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Migration Leadership: Lead and coordinate the local data migration workstream for the Spanish “wave,” ensuring compliance with global data integrity and governance standards.
  • Liaison & Interface: Act as the primary technical and functional interface between the implementation partner’s data migration teams and local Spanish business stakeholders.
  • End-to-End Migration Execution: Oversee data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and loading (ETL) into the SAP S/4HANA Cloud environment.
  • Validation & Quality Control: Facilitate validation sessions with local key users across Finance, Supply Chain, and Commercial areas to ensure “ready-for-business” data accuracy.
  • Cross-Border Coordination: Collaborate daily with technical and functional teams located in the UK and India to resolve mapping issues, defects, or migration bottlenecks.
  • SIT & UAT Support: Manage and coordinate data loads for System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring environments are populated with high-quality, relevant data.
  • Cutover Planning: Contribute to Go-Live cutover planning, managing sequencing and timing of data loads to minimize business disruption.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain local data mapping documents, transformation rules, validation evidence, and sign-off records for audit and compliance purposes.

Qualifications

  • Data Migration Expertise: 5+ years of experience leading data migration initiatives, including large multi-team projects within multinational organizations. Demonstrated experience leading at least one full-cycle SAP data migration project (preferably from on-premises to cloud).
  • SAP Data Expertise: Proven experience leading SAP data migrations, ideally from SAP On-Premise to SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong functional understanding of SAP data objects (master data and transactional data) and foundational knowledge of SAP architecture.
  • Global Project Experience: Experience working in large-scale SAP programs involving offshore delivery centers (e.g., India).
  • Analytical Rigor: Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills to identify data inconsistencies, risks, and quality issues.
  • Communication Skills: Professional fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to translate technical data issues into business impact for stakeholders.
  • Tools Knowledge: Hands-on experience with SAP data migration tools such as SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, LSMW, or SAP Data Services.
  • Delivery Mindset: Strong sense of ownership and results-driven approach, focused on ensuring data quality and successful Go-Live outcomes.
  • Nice to have Certifications: SAP S/4HANA, Data Management certifications, or certifications related to SAP data migration tools.

What to expect from us?

  • Hybrid Work Mode: for this specific project, onsite presence is required 2-3 days per week.
