We are looking for AMS Transformation and Transition SME

  • The AMS Transformation and Transition SME will be responsible for a range of critical activities that directly contribute to the success of the outsourcing RFP.
  • These responsibilities are detailed below, mapped in relation to the key activities outlined plan.
  • Defining the service vision (what I expect from the services).
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, business units, operations) and external consultants to articulate a clear and comprehensive service vision for Cemex's future AMS landscape.
  • This involves translating high-level business needs into precise technical and functional requirements.
  • Documenting the AS-IS (Inventories, documents, KPIs, etc.).
  • Lead the documentation of the current (AS-IS) AMS landscape, including developing comprehensive application inventories, detailing existing configurations, integrations, and inter-application dependencies.
  • Preparation and review of SOWs.
  • Contribute technical and functional expertise to the drafting and thorough review of Statements of Works (SOWs) for AMS.
  • This includes ensuring scope definition, clear articulation of deliverables, detailed technical requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Preparation and review of the RFP.
  • Provide critical and comprehensive input for the development of the overall AMS Request for Proposal (RFP) document, ensuring it clearly outlines specific needs, strategic objectives, and transparent evaluation criteria.
  • Analysis of RFP responses and shortlisting.
  • Objectively evaluate the technical and functional aspects of all submitted vendor proposals against Cemex's predefined evaluation criteria and specific requirements.
  • Support in Day-to Day operations.
  • Involvement in day-to-day operations is expected during the transformation and transition process to gain first-hand knowledge of the current operation, which can serve as input for definitions and evaluations.

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in Application Management Services, IT Operations, or a closely related field, preferably gained within a large-scale enterprise environment (e.g., manufacturing, construction, or a similar industry relevant to operations).
  • The candidate must demonstrate expertise in managing and optimizing complex enterprise applications, encompassing a comprehensive understanding of the application lifecycle, routine maintenance, technical support, and strategic upgrade processes.
  • Extensive experience in documenting the "AS-IS" state is critical, including the creation of detailed application inventories, technical specifications, comprehensive process flows, and the establishment of relevant performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in developing Statements of Work (SOWs) and their review is indispensable, which includes scope definition, clear articulation of deliverables, detailed technical requirements, and robust acceptance criteria for IT services.
  • Experience in strategically defining the service vision and articulating clear strategic objectives for IT services is crucial, ensuring strong alignment between technology solutions and overall business goals.
  • A strong track record in evaluating vendor proposals, assessing technical capabilities, scalability, and their alignment with organizational needs and strategic direction.
  • Previous experience understanding outsourcing consulting methodologies.
  • Understanding of ITIL frameworks is required, with specific emphasis on their application within Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management and DevSecOps processes in an AMS context.
