Technical Recruiter

The role

This role will be integral in scaling our world-class teams by actively hiring talented candidates with diverse backgrounds and skill sets. As the first and consistent point of contact between candidates at Modo Energy, you will guide them through the interview process. You will also have the opportunity to heavily impact Modo Energy’s hiring strategy and coach internal stakeholders on recruiting best practices.

As a Technical Recruiter, you will primarily support the hiring of engineers for our various product teams. Additionally, you will be responsible for sourcing and hiring candidates in countries outside of the UK, ensuring we attract the best global talent. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process from sourcing and pipeline management to offer negotiation and closing for all assigned roles. 
  • Conduct weekly meetings with hiring teams to ensure a consistent feedback loop through the hiring process. 
  • Build strong partnerships with hiring managers, offering counsel on roles, hiring decisions, salaries, and more. 
  • Identify opportunities for improving candidate experience and scheduling efficiency. 
  • Collect, analyze, and deliver data, feedback, and action items to enhance the overall hiring process at Modo Energy. 
  • Manage our ATS System to ensure data integrity, accurate candidate stage tracking, and effective communication at each step of the hiring process. 
  • Actively participate as a member of the Modo hiring team, including attendance at meetups, company events, hiring events, etc. 
  • Assist in coordinating other recruiting activities and projects as needed. 
  • Source and hire candidates from countries outside of the UK, expanding our talent pool and ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce. 

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 5 years of a mix between in-house recruiting or staffing agency experience. 
  • Proven track record of excellence in sourcing and assessing technical talent. 
  • Experience in recruiting software engineers, data scientists, quantitative experts, and more. 
  • High-quality recruiting experience with the ability to efficiently manage an average of multiple technical requisitions. 
  • Robust understanding of full-cycle recruiting. 
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to to build and maintain relationships. 
  • Skilled in offer negotiation and knowledge about pertinent employment legislation and market data trends.
  • Proficition in sourcing tools and techniques.
  • Strong experience using an ATS to build talent pipeline, metrics, and sourcing strategies (Greenhouse experience is a plus!). 
  • Ability to source, assess and hire candidates internationally. 
  • Exceptional adaptability to handle change and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. 

Important Details:

  • We work in a Hybrid Environment: You split your time between working from home and working in our London office (Tuesday - Thursday).
