Michels Canada is a nationally recognized general contractor in energy, infrastructure and power construction based in Nisku, Alberta, with offices in British Columbia and Ontario. We are part of the Michels Family of Companies.

Our Office Administrator is responsible for maintaining efficient office operations and providing seamless administrative support to enhance overall productivity. The Office Administrator must ensure smooth coordination of daily tasks, effective communication, and meticulous organization to foster a productive and harmonious work environment. This position will be based out of our Calgary, Alberta location.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and promoting a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and following all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identifying and communicating workplace hazards and correcting or seeking assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Organizing and maintaining office operations and procedures, including managing correspondence, developing filing systems, overseeing supply requisitions, and assigning and monitoring clerical tasks.
  • Maintaining general office files such as vendor files, job files, and other documents essential to daily business operations.
  • Overseeing the inventory and upkeep of office supplies and equipment.
  • Managing phone calls and related correspondence to support efficient communication.
  • Upholding company culture and core values by adhering to Michels Canada's Standards and Policies and working with others to promote and preserve our values while conducting your duties to contribute to a positive and professional work environment.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

 Requirements:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration, Office Management, or other similar program.
  • Minimum 3-years related experience and/or education.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated time‑management skills.
