Sales Manager - Customer Success (Higher Education, EMEA)

At Mentimeter, Higher Education is a strategically important segment and a key driver of our future growth. As we continue to scale in EMEA, we’re now looking for a Sales Manager – Customer Success (Higher Education) to lead and grow our commercial Customer Success organization within this vertical.

This role is for an experienced people leader with a strong commercial mindset and a background in Customer Success. You’ll play a key role in shaping how we drive retention, expansion, and customer value in Higher Education—while working closely with customers, data, and cross-functional partners.

The team is crossfunctional and have both Customer success managers and Relationship Managers within it. 

Responsibilities for the role

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Customer Success Managers and Relationship Managers

  • Own team performance across retention, expansion, and customer value

  • Set clear goals, priorities, and expectations together with your Director and leadership peers

  • Drive a strong commercial and sales-oriented mindset within Customer Success

  • Lead regular 1:1s, team meetings, and structured performance follow-ups

  • Contribute to improving and scaling Customer Success and Higher Education ways of working

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, and other Customer Success leaders

Resources we have to support you

  • Close coaching and sparring from your Director and fellow Sales Managers

  • Clear expectations, regular feedback, and opportunities for continued leadership growth

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Product, and Marketing

Must haves for the role

  • At least 3 years of experience leading a Customer Success team in a commercial environment

  • Experience as a Sales Manager or CS Manager with clear ownership of retention and expansion

  • Strong track record of working with goals, KPIs, and performance management

  • Solid commercial mindset and experience driving growth through existing customers

  • High ownership, structured leadership approach, and ability to scale ways of working

Nice to have

  • Experience working with Education / Higher Education customers

  • Experience from a scaling SaaS or subscription-based business

 

Please note: This position is located onsite at our office in Stockholm, with a flexible start date, ideally as soon as possible.
