Assistant Company Secretary - 12 Month FTC

As Assistant Company Secretary you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient support of LHV Bank’s Board and Committees. You will also support the Company Secretary in ensuring the Bank’s compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and its adherence to corporate governance best practice. You will provide critical support to the Board of Directors, Executive Management and various other stakeholders. You will also act as the custodian of the Bank’s corporate records and policy documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organising and maintaining the annual Board and Committee meetings calendar.
- Preparing and distributing meeting agendas, materials, minutes, and resolutions.
- Supporting the Company Secretary in ensuring compliance with corporate governance principles and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining the Bank’s statutory registers and company books.
- Preparing and filing statutory documents.
- Maintaining the Bank’s policy repository and ensuring that policies remain up to date.
- Organising Board training.
- Promoting a strong corporate governance culture within the organisation.
Skills and Experience:
- A professional qualification as a Chartered Secretary is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of corporate governance principles, company law, and regulatory requirements applicable to banks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in corporate governance software and tools.
- Experience in a similar role in regulated financial services is essential.
This role is based in London and there is an expectation for colleagues to be in the office for at least three days a week.
