About the Role

The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for defining and governing the architecture that underpins Kerv’s internal corporate systems and platforms. You will shape how our core systems across the following business areas: People, Sales, Operations and Finance, integrate and evolve to support the group’s growth and efficiency objectives.

You will ensure all systems and integrations are designed for scalability, security, and maintainability, while remaining aligned to Kerv’s enterprise architecture principles and technology roadmap. Working closely with IT, Transformation, and functional leaders, you will translate business needs into cohesive technology designs that drive measurable value.

As a leader, you will guide a cross-functional team of Analysts and Developers, setting standards for solution design, documentation, and governance. You will also own and chair the Architecture Review Board (ARB), ensuring that all new initiatives and system changes align with our reference architectures, integration frameworks, and internal system strategy.

Your part to play

Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain the target enterprise / system architecture, guiding technology selection, platform standardisation, and capability maturity roadmaps aligned to business objectives and the functional design required to support and achieve company goals.
  • Influence investment decisions and prioritisation of key technology initiatives to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, roadmaps, and business priorities.
  • Establish and maintain architecture standards, principles, frameworks, and reference models to guide the consistent design and delivery of technology solutions.
  • Provide architectural oversight and strategic consulting to senior business and IT stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into actionable direction.
  • Lead, manage, and develop Analysts Developers Team, ensuring consistency in approach, quality documentation, and adherence to delivery standards.
  • Establish and maintain reusable architectural patterns, artefacts, and models to promote consistent, transparent, and effective solution design.
  • Direct the collation of business and technical requirements and the design of end-to-end solutions that meet company and customer needs.
  • Own and chair the Architecture Review Board (ARB), governing major design decisions to ensure adherence to architecture principles, standards, and overall solution integrity.
  • Evaluate existing IT systems to identify performance, security, or efficiency weaknesses, and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Assess process maturity and define transformation roadmaps for corporate functions and individual practice groups, supporting the broader strategic agenda.
  • Implement shared infrastructure and reusable components to optimise information management systems and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Enterprise Architecture function through leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement of architecture practices and outcomes.

Top Deliverables:

  • A Target Technology Landscape with end-to-end reference architecture and technology standards.
  • A clear Technology Roadmap outlining the path to target state and measurable KPIs to track business value.
  • AS-IS and TO-BE views of the technology, application, and process landscapes.
  • Effective governance through the Architecture Review Board, ensuring design integrity across all initiatives.
  • A Domain Capability Reference Model (L1–L3 business and process capabilities).
  • KPIs to be tracked and reported to demonstrate Business Value and Quality of Deliverables

All about You

Architecture Experience: 

  • Proven experience designing and governing solutions in an acquisition-led enterprise environment.
  • Experience architecting and implementing enterprise-wide solutions across multiple domains.
  • Strong background in enterprise frameworks (TOGAF certification preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience leading solution design through all phases of delivery.
  • Background in IT managed services, Professional Services, corporate functions, and IT security.
  • Proficiency in process optimisation and transformation methodologies including Process redesign, IT Strategy development, change management.
  • Proven experience in transforming cross functional processes to reduce rework and improve efficiency/effectiveness.

Systems Experience – Desirable but not all required:

  • Proven experience on ServiceNow- ITSM/CSM, Order Management
  • MS Dynamics - Marketing, Sales, Accounting (Business Central)
  • Knowledge of BambooHR and Elevate Billing desirable

  • Influential and confident, willing to challenge assumptions and drive well-reasoned, outcome-focused decisions.
  • Collaborative relationship-builder, adept at engaging executive sponsors and cross-functional teams across geographies.
  • Commercially aware and delivery-focused, with a track record of shaping and executing integrated IT strategies.
  • Self-motivated and resilient, able to operate autonomously, adapt to change, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
