Merchandise Manager

The Branded Merchandise team within the Marketing department is seeking an experienced Merchandise Manager to take the lead on merchandise projects, with a primary focus on international logistics, procurement, and supply planning. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and timely sourcing, delivery, and availability of branded merchandise across multiple regions worldwide. You'll have the unique opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across multiple functions and locations and handle projects that have a direct impact on how the JetBrains brand is perceived by both the developer community and internal stakeholders.
The role is focused on educational projects. You’ll collaborate with our Education department, supporting a diverse and passionate audience of students across campuses, competitions, and universities, advancing our mission to enhance learning and foster growth in the industry. You will work with a wide network of international suppliers, often operating in emerging economies with unique logistical challenges, manage end-to-end logistics flows, and ensure that JetBrains warehouses are stocked according to demand and planning forecasts.
The role requires a high level of ownership, attention to detail with respect to procurement processes, expertise in handling complex global logistics, and the ability to address custom merchandise needs. As a Merchandise Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end merchandise lifecycle, ensuring seamless coordination across teams and vendors and timely project delivery.
In this role, you will:
- Own merchandise projects for the Marketing and Education departments, guiding them from initiation to completion and ensuring that the scope and content of the projects align with the overall JetBrains brand strategy and guidelines.
- Oversee budget, procurement, and vendor relations, with a focus on both quality and cost efficiency.
- Handle international logistics and customs compliance.
- Streamline existing processes and develop new ones to ensure smooth cross-functional collaboration.

- An understanding of merchandise production: Solid knowledge of manufacturing techniques, quality control, and industry standards.
- Procurement skills: A proactive approach to navigating and structuring procurement processes.
- Independence and strong communication skills: The ability to communicate effectively, work independently on long-term projects, and adapt to changing priorities.
- An analytical and improvement-focused mindset: Skill at evaluating outcomes and identifying improvements to streamline processes.
- A strategic approach: An understanding of merchandise's role in marketing, HR, and other business functions, with a creative eye for new projects and production optimization.
- Experience: At least two years in a relevant role involving creative, physical goods production and coordination tasks.
