We’re now looking for an experienced and visionary Brand Merchandise Lead to manage and develop JetBrains’ global merchandise direction. This role sits at the intersection of branding, product marketing, creativity, operations, and business strategy – owning how our merchandise reflects the JetBrains brand and our more than 40 products, supporting marketing goals, and delivering real value to our teams and community.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the brand merchandise team, balancing workloads and distributing merchandise projects based on priorities, capacity, and strategic impact.
- Drive the Brand Merchandise team's motivation and growth, fostering skill development, ownership, and long-term professional development.
- Identify internal and external business needs to define creative direction, project focus, and merchandise strategy.
- Initiate and launch innovative merchandise projects that respond to market trends, cultural signals, and JetBrains’ business objectives.
- Continuously improve workflows and processes to increase efficiency, scalability, and cross-team collaboration.
- Oversee the development and operations of the merchandise store, along with end-to-end production projects from concept to delivery.
- Conduct market and trend research to identify new product ideas, materials, suppliers, and growth opportunities.
- Lead collaborations with external partners, including sourcing, initiating partnerships, negotiating pricing, and coordinating deliverables.
- Create and maintain merchandise guidelines, documentation, and shared knowledge resources to ensure consistency and clarity across teams.
- Manage and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness, transparency, and alignment with business expectations.
- Ensure all merchandise initiatives are strategically aligned with JetBrains’ evolving brand, marketing vision, and long-term goals.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in brand merchandise, creative operations, or marketing project management roles, ideally in a global or tech-driven environment.
- Proven experience leading and scaling teams, with a strong people-first leadership approach.
- A strategic mindset paired with hands-on execution skills – comfortable owning both vision and delivery.
- A solid understanding of production processes, supply chains, vendor management, and merchandising economics.
- Strong project and budget management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience working across functions and with external partners.
- Strong aesthetic judgment, attention to detail, and a deep respect for brand consistency and quality.
