Influencer Executive (12 month FTC)

  • Job Title – Influencer and Talent Marketing Executive (12 month FTC)
  • Location – BL9 8RR
  • Working rota – Monday - Friday
  • Working hours – 40 hours
  • Working model – Onsite (5 days in the office. 4 days in Bury, Bl9 8RR and 1 day in Manchester, M12 6FZ)

Role overview:

Focusing on the UK and EU markets the purpose of this role is to work closely with the wider Influencer and Talent Marketing team across Influencer campaigns. Aligning with the Influencer and Talent Marketing Manager and Senior Influencer and Talent Marketing Executives this role requires an understanding of the Influencer landscape and direct experience working with Influencers.

Responsibilities:

  • Together with the Senior Influencer and Talent Marketing Exec(s) and Influencer and Talent Marketing Manager(s), support in developing campaigns which successfully increase JD brand awareness, social engagement, follower growth and website traffic.
  • Possess an understanding of digital, retail and / or OOH landscapes and use this knowledge to implement / develop campaigns.
  • Develop relationships within the wider business, working with teams such as Social, Third Party Brand and Activations.
  • Must follow all processes implemented within the team (e.g. tracking of invoices) and constructively feedback on any opportunities to improve these processes where relevant.
  • Manage multiple low-high tier Influencer campaign briefs in line with launches and key calendar moments. Tasks incl. - but are not limited to:
    • Budgeting
    • Drafting contracts
    • Identifying talent
    • Managing conversations and content
    • Updating internal and external stakeholders
    • Work closely with – and understand the needs of – the wider Multi-Channel / Marketing team(s)
    • Reporting (incl. presenting of campaign results)
    • Low-high tier campaigns may be defined by factors such as budget(s), senior / multiple stakeholder investment, third party brand association etc.
    • For higher tier campaigns this may include support / mentoring from senior members of the team
  • Planning and budget management of several internal and external projects with ability and confidence to negotiate vs. budget.
  • Comfortable and proactive in collating campaign results and ability to present these back to Influencer and Talent Marketing Manager / Lead respectively. With support this may include additional senior stakeholder feedback.
  • Working closely with the wider Influencer team to avoid crossover of campaigns and Influencer talent.
  • Establish and track KPIs and best practices for performance evaluation.
  • Ensure the JD UK Influencer pool is kept true to brand, fresh and is diverse.
  • Work with in-territory EU teams to ensure we are working with talents who are fit for brand and market.
  • This role may include liaison with external agencies in regard to UK and EU Influencer and Talent Marketing briefs and opportunities.
  • Attending key JD / brand events / activations where Influencer talent is required – this may include international travel.
  • The role may – at times – and as part of development allow for direct management and / or mentorship of junior members of the team for periods of time

Role objectives and KPI’s:

Key objective is to manage small / mid tier Influencer campaigns on behalf of the JD UK and EU Influencer and Talent Marketing team. These campaigns must align with the overarching Influencer and JD Marketing strategies and may focus on a specific sector within the business (e.g. sports, 3rd party brand etc.) The role may also require – from time to time – support to the management team for stakeholder requests.

Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of the JD brand; past, present, and future
  • An understanding of who the JD Influencer is and how they differ to other Influencers
  • An interest in and understanding of the current Influencer industry and possessing a genuine interest in Influencer marketing
  • Prior experience, min. 1 year(s), working in an ecommerce environment with a history in Influencer & Talent Marketing
  • Good project management skills, organised and able to manage multiple projects
  • Good attention for detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Actively seeking personal development, including proactively accessing JD’s development courses
  • Eagerness to learn with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Experience in / understanding of working as a team and why this is important in the workplace
  • Displays a consistently positive attitude and understands the need for this in the workplace and how this affects development
  • Experience working at events and activations is preferred
  • Interest in the sporting / fitness industry is preferred
