Senior Group External Accountant 

Responsible to:	Senior Technical Reporting Manager

Location: Role Overview:	Bury Head Office

This is an opportunity for a practice trained accountant to join the Group finance team of a highly acquisitive, fast-paced FTSE 100 Plc.

Role overview: 

This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day group audit process, including the annual report process at both half year and full year. It will also be the responsibility of this person to understand and challenge our processes; and prepare our technical accounting papers required for the group external reporting function. In addition to the technical papers, this role will be responsible for building, and analysing the results of our annual impairment models. The ideal candidate for this role will be Big 4 trained, have 2-4 years PQE, experience of a listed plc environment (either auditing or in house). Extensive IFRS knowledge is a must have with this role.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong IFRS knowledge
• Big 4 trained (2-4 years PQE)
• PLC reporting experience (either auditing or in house)
• Technical accounting paper preparation experience
