Creative Media Consultant

Kigali

Irembo is a technology company that designs and develops digital products to ease the accessibility of services in users’ everyday lives worldwide, starting with Rwanda. Our pioneer products, IremboGov and IremboPay, have enabled Rwandan citizens and foreigners to access and pay for over 150 public services online through our one-stop-shop e-governance and payment platforms. To date, we have facilitated over 30 million transactions through our platforms and have ambitious goals to scale our technology worldwide to enable more governments and institutions to serve their citizens better. More information is available on irembo.com.

We are a software company building service management and payment solutions. Our core clients are government institutions, and we’ve steadily expanded across the local market to serve leading insurers, ISPs, banks, and merchants. International expansion is also underway as we pursue growth opportunities beyond our home market.

Our business operates on a three-sided value model—serving institutions, reaching citizens at a national scale, and enabling a network of thousands of active agents. This integrated ecosystem allows us to deliver real impact, simplify access to services, and create value across sectors and segments.

Location: Kigali, Rwanda

Contract Duration: 12 Months (Fixed Term)

About the role

The Creative Media Consultant shoots, edits, and delivers the visual content that tells Irembo's story. That covers photo and video across a range of moments: product launches, events, team stories, and everyday company life. The work is hands-on and varied, and the standard is consistent across all of it.

You will work closely with the Brand & Communications team to make sure what gets produced is what gets used, delivered in the right format at the right time. The ability to animate is a strong bonus. It is not a requirement, but it meaningfully expands what the team can create without going to an external agency every time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Photography & Videography: Shoot clean, well-framed photo and video content across assignments including events, product moments, podcasts, portraits, and office environments, adapting to conditions on the day without losing quality.
  • Editing & Post-production: Edit video and produce final cuts that match the brief in pacing, tone, and structure. Handle color grading, audio cleanup, and delivery to a standard that requires minimal revision.
  • Animation & Motion Graphics: Develop animated content and motion graphics that support campaigns, product communications, and social media. This is a bonus capability that significantly expands what the team can produce independently.
  • Brand Visual Consistency: Ensure all visual outputs reflect Irembo's brand direction in composition, tone, and style. Catch what is off before it is delivered or published.
  • Content Coordination: Work closely with the Brand System Coordinator and Digital Campaigns Associate to deliver assets in the right format, at the right time, for the posting schedule and campaign calendar.
  • Agency & Partner Quality Assurance: Coordinate with external content creators and agency partners, ensuring brand guidelines are current, clearly communicated, and reflected in everything produced. Review incoming assets for quality and consistency before they enter the production pipeline.
  • Asset Management: Organize and archive completed productions, raw files, and approved assets so the team can find and reuse what has been made without starting from scratch each time.

Qualifications & Experience:

We are looking for a versatile, hands-on creator who can capture Irembo’s story and turn everyday moments and major milestones into engaging visual content.

  • A degree or final-year studies in communications, marketing, creative media, or a related field. Useful as a foundation, not the deciding factor.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in visual content production, creative media, or a similar role. We care more about the quality and range of your portfolio.
  • Mastery of editing software and production tools, with Adobe Suite as the baseline expectation.
  • Comfort with the everyday tools of the work: Google Workspace, social media platforms, and shared trackers.
  • Having your own photography or video equipment is a plus. Irembo also provides equipment and can support gear procurement where needed.
  • Strong written and spoken English. Kinyarwanda is required. French is a plus.
  • The instinct to go further than asked. Someone who shows up prepared, follows up without prompting, and treats every assignment, big or small, with the same level of care.

Please note that the salary for this position is commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be discussed during the interview process.
