Information Security Architect – Cloud Technology (f/m/d)

As a Security Architect at IONOS, you work in an interdisciplinary team with a broad professional cross-section and actively shape the evolution of the IONOS Cloud. You develop security solutions, coach development teams and bring a holistic perspective on how systems, processes and security requirements need to work together. You actively drive the AI transformation and understand how AI-powered tools are fundamentally changing the way we work and think about security.

Tasks

• Security Architecture & Design: You contribute to the evolution of our cloud security architecture, ensure the consistent implementation of existing security policies across team boundaries and integrate security-as-code into CI/CD pipelines.
• Coaching & Consulting: You run workshops and training sessions for development teams, foster a lived security culture and advise on compliance requirements (ISO 27001, GDPR, BSI-C5).
• You also support teams in the secure adoption of AI tools, raise awareness of emerging attack surfaces such as prompt injection or insecure AI pipelines and translate technical topics into clear recommendations for different stakeholders.
• Implementation & Collaboration: You work closely with development and security teams, review code and infrastructure configurations for vulnerabilities and develop frameworks that can be applied directly in projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent. Several years of experience in IT security within software development, ideally in cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes).
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience running training sessions and workshops, and an analytical, hands-on mindset.
• You use AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT or Claude as a natural part of your daily work.

• German and English fluently
