Senior Legal Counsel

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel with solid knowledge and experience in banking, consumer and financial law. A core understanding of financial products, consumer finance and banking is an advantage. Join our motivated and international team to help us shape the future of embedded finance.

In this position, you will be part of the international Legal Team and become the go-to-lawyer when it comes to banking, corporate and finance area challenges faced by the Inbank Branch in the Czech Republic.

What will you be doing?

• Providing day-to-day legal support across multiple verticals to internal stakeholders such as country manager, product & business development, marketing, operational and local sales team to support the growth of sales, market share and other business targets of the company.
• Supporting sales and the expansion in a local market with new business lines and products involves developing legal strategies to ensure the achievement of the business goals, yet mitigating reasonably the risks involved.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating various agreements with partners, customers and other third parties to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Supporting corporate governance, NDA and Power of Attorney requests.
• Collaborating on a day to day basis with group level cross-functional stakeholders and teams in several projects.
• Liaising with external counsels, when needed, leading the correspondence to ensure to achieve the business goals in compliance with local laws and regulations as well as assisting with the incorporation and registration of new entities.
• Staying up to date with legislative developments, anticipating legal and commercial risks and advising and assisting the business to prepare for them.

Job requirements:

• Completed legal qualification from a reputable law school, LLM
• Strong knowledge of banking, finance and consumer law
• At least 3 years of professional experience, preferably in the field of international banking and finance sector or in a law firm
• Fluent in English and Czech with excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Ability and enthusiasm to translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical solutions (e.g., customer flows)
• Analytical and business-oriented mindset, with a passion for tackling challenges and finding solutions
• Independent, proactive, and creative, with a "consider-it-done" attitude and strong communication skills
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with ambitious targets and business goals
• Bonus points for in-house experience in an international company.
