Product Legal Counsel

Banking is moving out of banks and becoming a part of customers' daily digital lives. Inbank financing solutions are embedded seamlessly into the shopping journey of 6,000+ retailers. This helps our merchant partners to grow their businesses while end customers get to benefit from a frictionless shopping experience wherever they are. With a focus on innovation and growth, we are looking for talented people to join our team of 420+ people working across our offices in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Due to our growth ambitions, we are seeking a talented, solution-driven, and business-minded Product Legal Counsel to join our Estonia team. This role is part of our international Legal Team, which operates across five countries. You will lead and manage product-related legal projects at the group level, providing essential legal support to our product, tech, growth, and development teams. Your focus will be on finding innovative, compliant solutions at every stage of the product lifecycle, from origination through implementation. In this role, you will develop terms and conditions for new products, assess regulatory risks, and evaluate legal impacts across the company, ensuring that our legal framework supports both regulatory compliance and Inbank's drive for innovation. You’ll work closely with our in-house lawyers and product managers, playing a key role in driving innovation and growth at Inbank.

To be successful in the role, you bring ideally the following skills with you:

  • Experience in the financial services industry as an in-house legal advisor at financial institutions, fintech or startup company
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, banking and finance law, and consumer financing regulations
  • Interested in being involved in the full lifecycle of products and client relationships to understand the underlying business processes and hold a strong opportunity-making mindset.
  • Proven track record of making well-informed judgment calls, based on cost-benefit analysis, to determine when to persist and when to compromise
  • Exceptional time management, task ownership, prioritization skills and can do” attitude
  • Fluent written and verbal in Estonian and English
  • A master’s degree in law.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal matters in business language.
  • Experience in providing legal support to growth companies and a fast-changing working environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse international team.
