OSP comprises access to Ocado’s physical automation, allowing highly efficient preparation of orders, together with the full end-to-end software applications required to operate a world class online grocery business, bringing the best possible operational economics, consumer experience and service to our partners. Since 2017 we have signed agreements to provide our unique e-commerce solution to a number of the world’s largest grocers, including Groupe Casino (France), Sobeys (Canada), ICA (Sweden), Kroger (USA), Coles (Australia), AEON (Japan), Alcampo (Spain), Lotte (South Korea) joining our UK partner Morrisons and the Ocado/M&S joint venture.
About the role
The Digital Content Developer is responsible for supporting the creation of engaging digital content to streamline the onboarding and ongoing training/support of new and existing partners, in the UK and internationally in the use of Ocado Smart Platform (OSP). Specifically, you will own the content for our eCommerce solution.
Working with the Lead Digital Content Developer, as well as a wide range of internal stakeholders and subject matter experts, you will be responsible for developing and curating training content to support our ‘Digital first’ approach.Your objective will be to ensure our digital content equips our partners to fully leverage the OSP ecommerce tool set to deliver a great customer experience and commercial results.
Although this role is based within the Partner Growth team, there is an expectation that you’ll support the wider Partner Success team to develop digital content that will support their partner interactions too.
As this role will be partner-facing, work delivered will need to be of high quality, delivered on time, while making it scalable and sustainable by utilizing digital platforms where possible for commercial benefit.
You will (accountabilities)
- Creating and maintaining ecommerce content on the Partner Hub site
- Designing and developing digital training content on Ocado’s Learning Management Systems (Litmos and Rise) at pace for our UK and International partners
- Maintaining knowledge and content to reflect updated releases, ensuring that Partners are following current processes and best practice
- Create materials to support our partner’s training programmes
- Ensure there’s a consistent style, tone of voice and quality of content that’s in line with Ocado brand guidelines
- Using a range of digital tools to create engaging content and user experiences including:
- Canvas
- Articulate - Rise and Storyline
- Synthesia
- Video editing software
- Adobe (Photoshop, InDesign)
- Liaising with Ocado Subject Matter Experts and other internal stakeholders to create documentation, and gather information for partners
- Developing effective relationships within the business to gather the right level of detail to give to partners to understand their business, needs, and questions
About you (experience we seek)
Essential
- High caliber candidate with a proven track record of designing and delivering engaging digital content across a number of mediums and platforms
- Experience using Content Management Systems and designing web pages
- Experience of training/learning and development in a Technology, Logistics or Retail environment
- Good level of understanding of current and future learning trends within the workplace and can translate these into effective content
- Advocate for lifelong learning and self-development and can instill this in others
- Good communication skills, someone who inspires confidence in an inclusive and collaborative manner
- An analytical mindset and analysis skills to drive continuous improvements
- Articulate in both verbal and written communications with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
- The ability to research and self-lead - a proactive, innovative, self-motivated and results-driven individual
- Excellent written communication with an ability to write in plain English for an international audience
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure, and respond well to changing priorities
- Confidence to tackle a broad range of topics
- Experience as a writer producing articles or other written content
Desirable
- Knowledge of Ocado’s eCommerce solution would be beneficial, however not essential
- Previous experience with a B2B or consultative environment within a Technology, Logistics or Retail business
- Data analytics
- General knowledge of and passion for ecommerce
