Director of Sales EMEA

Position Overview

As the Director of Sales EMEA at Founda Health, you will lead the growth and execution of our sales strategy across the Europe and Middle East (EMEA) region. Leveraging your extensive experience in (healthcare) enterprise sales, you will be responsible for driving revenue, expanding market presence, and building lasting relationships with clients across various markets. Reporting directly to the General Manager of EMEA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our go-to-market approach and building a high-performing sales team in a competitive environment.

Role & Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Continuously improve our sales strategy to drive revenue growth across the EMEA region with a focus on both direct and indirect sales channels.
  • Lead the EMEA sales team to meet and exceed sales targets, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall growth objectives.
  • Lead by example: own strategic sales cycles and contribute to targets by closing business yourself.
  • Identify and prioritize key markets and customers, and create tailored approaches for market penetration and client acquisition.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Customer Success and Product teams to align sales strategies with customer needs and product offerings.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team across the region.
  • Set clear goals, KPIs, and expectations for the sales team, driving accountability and results.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment, encouraging continuous learning and development.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to team members to ensure personal growth, alignment with our company values, and overall team success.

Market Insights & Thought Leadership

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging trends within the EMEA region.
  • Position Founda Health as a leader in the industry through active participation in events, conferences, and speaking engagements and actively leverage LinkedIn to engage with our network.
  • Provide strategic input to internal leadership based on market feedback and industry developments to guide product roadmap and business direction.

Financial Management & Forecasting

  • Build and maintain reliable sales forecasts to track progress toward revenue targets and inform broader business decisions.
  • Develop and monitor budgets for sales activities, ensuring proper allocation of resources to maximize return on investment.
  • Provide regular financial reports and insights to senior leadership, highlighting sales performance, challenges, and growth opportunities.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Has 8+ years track record of leading successful SaaS B2B sales teams in the EMEA region and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Brings experience in health tech sales, with closing deals ranging from € 50k - € 1M TCV and with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within this industry.
  • Is a strategic thinker, able to develop and implement direct- and indirect sales strategies while managing short-term priorities.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse team.
  • Possesses excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities, with experience engaging stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Is adaptable, thrives in a dynamic environment, and can manage multiple priorities effectively.

Recruitment Process

  • Introduction call with our People Partner (~30 minutes)
  • In-depth Sales acumen discussion with our GM of EMEA and Director of Customer Success (~45 minutes)
  • A conversation with (a part of) the Sales Team about our Sales -strategies and -culture (~45 minutes)
  • Final discussion with our Managing Director (~30 minutes)
