The Role
As Product Director for the Experience teams at the FT, you’ll get a chance to shape how our global audience consumes gold-standard journalism through a wide range of storytelling formats. You will work closely with the newsroom to shape the end-user experience of our signature, digital products - FT.com and App, but also ensure we continue to grow through our Professional tier as well as FT Edit, geared towards light readers.
In the role, you’ll play a central part in shaping how people discover and experience the FT’s journalism in various formats and distribution channels. You will guide teams working across storytelling capabilities, navigation, and content discovery, ensuring our news products allow users to both catch up quickly and deep-dive into bigger stories. This role will be pivotal to making the FT a daily habit for even more users worldwide.
Your focus will be on helping the organisation understand our audiences deeply, making clear diagnoses about the problems we must solve, and guiding teams toward simple, effective solutions. You will bring subject-matter expertise and a willingness to engage with the details, while empowering ambitious product teams to work with autonomy and focus.

- Partner with Engineering, Design, Data and Commercial teams to keep the experience reliable, fast and cohesive.
- Support clear prioritisation so teams stay focused on the problems that matter most.
