About the team

The Investment Services, Early Stage Technology  team at EQT is part of Fund Operations, a global unit with the functional responsibility to manage fund-related activities efficiently and meet the high standards of EQT’s stakeholders and investors. We are looking for an Associate in our Early-Stage Technology Team responsible for investment structures of Alternative Investment Funds focused on both early and late-stage venture capital investments, encompassing minority, co-control, and majority acquisitions.

As an Associate in the Investment Services team, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting investment structures, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders across the organization. This role is integral to EQT’s mission to fulfill regulatory requirements and ensure top-tier operational standards.

About the role

In this role, you’ll work closely with EQT’s Investment Advisory teams to support the successful execution of deals, from tax structuring to legal documentation. You’ll also maintain corporate governance and compliance for investment structures during the holding period, ensuring a smooth process for all stakeholders. This position requires a keen eye for detail, collaborative skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Investment Advisory teams (EQT Deal teams) and support deal execution during signing and closing phase (including participation in tax structuring calls, setting up investment structures, review and execution of funds flow, coordination of legal documentation etc.).
  • Collaborate with Investment Advisory teams to support deal execution, including tax structuring, setting up investment structures, fund flow reviews, and coordination of legal documentation.
  • Present investment and divestment opportunities to the Investment Committee and actively participate in quarterly board meetings.
  • Maintain investment structures during the holding period, ensuring corporate governance and compliance.
  • Monitor fund liquidity needs and oversee capital events.
  • Collaborate with service providers, internal Fund Operations teams, and other EQT departments.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and queries to support team growth and the overall organization.

About You

We’re looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented professional with strong social skills and a proactive approach. You bring a “can-do” attitude and are always a step ahead, effectively managing responsibilities in a high-paced environment. Flexibility, initiative, and a strong work ethic will be key to thriving in this role.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience: 3+ years of relevant working experience in BIG4, law firms, private equity, or real estate organizations, with exposure to Alternative Investment Funds and their structures.
  • Education: University degree (or equivalent) in finance, law, economics, accounting, or business administration. Professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, ACCA) are an advantage.
  • Expertise: Strong understanding of fund documentation (PPM, LPA) and prior exposure to M&A transactions is a strong plus.
  • Skills: Highly efficient, organized, and proactive, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Languages: Fluent in English, both spoken and written
