Social Worker (Part time)

Position Overview:
This part-time role is responsible for managing the social welfare programs to support the well-being of employees with guidance and prevention education resources. The role has administrative responsibilities with direct social support, ensuring compliance with labor regulations and providing personalized assistance to team members in need. Reporting to the Director, HR in the US, the Social Worker will support the general organizational employee well-being initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Administration and execution of programs related to social welfare, labor relations, social security, and occupational health. Provide education and promote employee and family participation in social programs drive by the Industrial Relations department.
- Manage personnel-related procedures with ESSALUD (registration, data corrections, maternity benefits, etc.). Register and monitor medical leaves and health subsidies. Provide reports on medical leave, family allowance, paternity leave, and similar items for payroll processing.
- Administer and oversee SCTR (Complementary Risk Work Insurance) and life insurance policies for employees.
- Provide social support to employees experiencing difficult personal situations (family, financial, health, etc.). Conducts home visits, if necessary, to assess the employee's social and family situation and prepare the corresponding reports.
- Support the transportation of employees in critical health conditions to appropriate healthcare facilities.
- Maintain and update the company bulletin and internal communication channels.
- Carry out other administrative tasks as required by the department.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field, and active professional licensure and registration with the Peruvian Association of Social Workers required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in companies with 300–400 employees.
- Solid knowledge of labor laws and general procedures related to ESSALUD, the Ministry of Labor, and other relevant institutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently with high confidentiality while collaborating with the local team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
- Willingness to perform administrative tasks.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Availability of working in a part-time role.
