POSITION OVERVIEW 

 

The Senior Applied AI Engineer plays a key role in architecting and developing intelligent automation solutions to support our growth and enhance enterprise-wide capabilities. This role focuses on reusable GenAI-powered frameworks and agents that drive automation across data pipelines, enhance operational intelligence, and support strategic analytics and revenue-generating initiatives across business units. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Architect and implement GenAI-driven agents and automation frameworks to: 
  • Generate insights from data using natural language queries and context-aware agents to support decision-making. 
  • Automate root-cause detection, contextual logging, and intelligent documentation. 
  • Enhance system observability and self-healing mechanisms. 
  • Design and deploy AI-enabled workflows using: 
  • Azure/Microsoft, Snowflake, or similar enterprise ecosystems. 
  • Design automation strategies that reduce operational overhead and accelerate time-to-insight for business units. 
  • Develop automation capabilities that align with existing architecture and minimize disruption. 
  • Embed GenAI capabilities into reporting and analytics environments including: 
  • Power BI, Qlik Sense, and Salesforce Analytics to deliver automated narratives, insight generation, and smart alerting features. 
  • Translate business needs into scalable automation solutions by collaborating across data, BI, analytics, and business functions. 
  • Establish reusable GenAI solution patterns, development standards, and governance models for responsible and sustainable adoption of AI technologies. 
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate emerging GenAI capabilities, applying relevant advances to enterprise data and automation strategies. 
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives, support ad hoc AI/automation efforts, and perform other responsibilities as needed. 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. 
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience. 
  • With 1-2 years proven experience in: 
  • Large Language Models (e.g., OpenAI APIs, ChatGPT, LangChain, Semantic Kernel). 
  • Azure technologies including OpenAI, Functions, Logic Apps, and Data Factory. 
  • Python, PowerShell, or equivalent automation scripting tools. 
  • Working with SQL, relational databases, and unstructured data sources. 
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as MSSQL, Salesforce, NetSuite, and ETL/integration systems. 
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik, or Salesforce Reports. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Knowledge of MLOps or experience in production deployment of intelligent agents is a plus. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

 

  • General office environment and responsibilities requiring: 
  • Extensive use of the computer which involves viewing a monitor and keyboarding for most of the workday. 
  • Placing and receiving phone calls. 
  • May require travel as needed.
