Quality Engineering Manager - Customer Growth (f/m/d)
Our Customer Growth Digital Domain is looking for a Quality Engineering Manager (m/f/d) in Amsterdam.
The Customer Growth Domain is expanding and undergoing an ambitious Transformation. We are pivoting from local smaller teams to a global organization. This will enable us to deliver the technological (APIsation of the IS, Scaling an Event Driven Architecture, Micro-Services, Headless,...) and organizational (Agility at scale, High performing Teams and pivot from feature to product teams) transformation and help us achieve our objectives.
Customer Growth provides best-in-class seamless customer identification and connection to the Decathlon ecosystem. We are responsible for developing customer 360 knowledge and lead the business through personalized lifecycle activation & management.
Our vision is to: “Drive customer growth and retention at scale through seamless and personalized relationships, across the whole Decathlon sports and commerce ecosystem”.
We operate in 45+ countries and are responsible for 200M+ individual accounts, 30K created each day, 250K login connections, 2.5B Email, 45M push messages and over 80M online visits.
We are looking for a Quality Engineering Manager to build and lead a software factory team in charge of establishing a streamlined, efficient, and scalable environment for the continuous development, testing, and delivery of high-quality software products. This team acts as an enabler for the broader domain by providing the tools, processes, and automation necessary to accelerate software development while ensuring consistency, security, and reliability.
About The Team/Tech:
- Based in France and the Netherlands.
- Monitoring : Datadog, Splunk for SIEM.
- Operating model: Best-in-class organization based on empowered product teams.
- Backend: Java (Spring Boot), PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis.
- Full cloud: GCP, AWS.
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Rancher, Helm, Flux.
- Quality: Jmeter, Blazemeter
- Containers: Kubernetes, GKE
- Collaboration tools: Slack, Google Workspace, Confluence.
YOUR FUTURE IMPACT
- You hierarchically lead a team of experts (QA & Devops) and support them in their development;
- You create a motivating and challenging work environment;
- You ensure the consistency of technical choices with Decathlon's needs and technological strategy;
- You ensure the quality of delivery through demanding performance indicators (DORA metrics, ADR, automated tests, etc.);
- You ensure the consistency of resources with regard to business and technical needs and the budgetary framework
- You build the functional and technical vision of your gaming scope in collaboration with stakeholders
- You monitor the budget allocated to your team
- You lead recruitment
- Depending on the company's strategic decisions, you are the first player in implementing the technological resources to deliver Decathlon's digital transformation projects for customer relations
WHAT YOU BRING
- You already have a first successful experience in hierarchical management of Software Engineers, including Quality Engineers
- Your latest experiences have allowed you to develop an interest in cloud-related issues and to consolidate your knowledge in software development (architecture, design patterns, code)
- You are comfortable in oral/written communication in English
- You have an advanced background in software development and architecture
- You have high standards in terms of observability and engineering practices
- You know the solutions and standards on the market (CI/CD, SRE)
