Data Engineer - People (f/m/d)
The Data People Team is looking for a Data Engineer in Paris
As part of an internal job opening, we are recruiting a Data Engineer, based in either Lille or Paris.
We want to accelerate the transformation and digitalization of our HR processes, partly by ensuring strong control over our People data and its uses.
To support this transformation, we want to integrate and deploy a global HR platform that will include an HR CORE and several talent management modules (Performance management, Comp & Ben, Career management, among others).
The Data Engineer mission is part of the integration project of the solution chosen by the Corporate HR Domain (Workday) and its deployment for the 65 countries in which Decathlon is located. You will join the project team under the functional responsibility of Data Migration within the Data stream.
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for transforming locally collected data to make it available to the integrator in charge of deploying the platform. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure data integrity, quality, and security.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- Accurately document source systems, data, and existing transformation rules.
Design and development of secure data transformation pipelines

- Implement complex transformation rules to adapt the data to the standards and templates defined for the global HR platform by the integrator.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the transformation process. As the data is sensitive, it must be encrypted and secured throughout its transformation.
Data provisioning and quality controls
- Ensure that the transformed data complies with the specifications defined by the integrator, respecting formats, structures, and validation rules.
- In conjunction with the Data Quality managers, implement quality control mechanisms to guarantee data compliance.
- Collaborate with business teams to perform data acceptance tests and ensure that it meets their needs.
