PMO Consultant
London – Hybrid
Purpose of Role
The PMO Consultant will play a pivotal role in supporting our project delivery, ensuring alignment with CloudRock’s project delivery methodology.
The ideal candidate will have a full understanding of the range of standard PMO practices and have a proven track record of successful delivery, ideally within a professional services environment and with a focus on Workday delivery engagements.
In addition to a client delivery support, this role will report into the CloudRock Central Project Management Office and will contribute to Central PMO operations & processes including portfolio reporting and analysis. This will drive process improvements and innovation within the PMO, leveraging industry best practices and emerging trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective support to the Project / Programme Manager on a variety of Client delivery initiatives:
- Maintenance of key project documentation including the plan, scope definition, resource plan and stakeholder communication.
- Management of the delivery team structure / organisation chart and RACI including Team on-boarding and off-boarding processes
- Management of the Project Initiation Document and any resulting requests for change
- Client Status Reporting, usually on a weekly basis
- Budget Reporting
- Finance budget burndown
- Actuals vs Forecasted spend and analysis of deltas
- Review and management of project resource plans, estimates and time sheet approvals etc
- Maintenance of the RAID log (recording and updating Risks, Issues, Decisions, Actions)
- Weekly reporting of the overall RAG status and Return to Green actions
- Implementation of governance processes, specifically the operation and reporting of the project stage gate process and reporting – ensuring adherence to CloudRock’s delivery methodology
- Contribution to the Closure activities for the project including Financial summaries, Lessons Learned, process enhancement proposals, Customer satisfaction surveys, Project Spotlight reports and document archiving.
- Provides feedback and enhancement input on project management methodologies, standards, and tools to support the successful execution of projects.
Necessary Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in a project delivery environment, with a focus on PMO management and consulting.
- Proven track record of being a key part in the successful delivery of complex projects in a consulting or client-facing environment.
- Good understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong Msoft Office proficiency inc MS Word, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint
- Experience in the use of Smart Sheets, Workday PSA and BI/analytics reporting is an advantage
