ClinChoice, is searching for a Scientist  to join one of our partner companies, a large pharmaceutical company leader in the field of biomedicines. This role supports the Clinical Operations department. You will be required to work on-site daily in Ludwigshafen, Germany 1 year and 4 months contract assignment and 1 FTE.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

• You are responsible for developing and presenting experimental plans, work, results, and your own concepts in direct discussions with colleagues and superiors in the specialist discipline (Analytics and in vitro group of Quantitative, Translational & ADME Sciences (QTAS)) and other disciplines (e.g. pharmacology, chemistry, preclinical safety, IT)
• You work with colleagues and discuss the workflows in the process (e.g. substance logistics, electronic documentation, interaction with colleagues in the USA)
• You present and discuss your work in internal and external meetings (i.e. within the department as well as across departments, if necessary, at scientific conferences) and also give external presentations when the opportunity arises
• You take on complex special functions (e.g. safety officer, equipment manager, IT contact person) or cross-laboratory tasks to improve the organization and efficiency of the department
• You work actively with internal departments and external partners
• You will also supervise the technologies in the laboratory (e.g., establishing and writing new modules for conducting automated tests on the robot)

Education and Experience:

• You have successfully completed a bachelor's degree (biotechnology or similar) with at least three years of professional experience or a master's degree
• Based on your professional experience, you already have knowledge of various biological and analytical methods. Prerequisites include knowledge of the analysis of microsomal stability, protein binding (plasma, microsomal binding, tissue binding in homogenate), metabolism by recombinant enzymes (including metabolite identification), and transporter measurements (with cell culture)
• Experience with high-resolution mass spectrometry is essential
• Experience with automation systems (e.g., Biomek, Hamilton) is an advantage
• You may have experience in substance testing as well as the optimization and further development of new biological and biochemical methods
• You have already acquired specialist knowledge of common data processing programs (e.g., Microsoft Office, analysis and statistics programs, databases, electronic documentation systems, intranet)
• You contribute to the existing team with initiative, a high level of resilience, and assertiveness
• Fluent English skills are required in our international environment.
