Senior Statistical Programmer / Analyst III

Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the planning, designing, developing, and implementation of safety dataset in support of consumer safety reporting.
- Responsible for data extraction, transformation, and preparation of transactional data to analysis-ready data. Develop and maintain data management documents (Data Extraction/Management Plan, extraction/data management programs and validation etc.).
- Perform data reconciliation, query generation and resolution, data locking, and data archiving.
- Ensure functional requirements are met and database/data issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
- Generate standard and ad-hoc query reports.
- Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), data exploration, and data analyses for project pilot runs and continuous development of data management processes; perform and document quality control checks for programs and scripts.
- Provide automation process using applicable tool or software programs.
- Develop and/or revise existing PL/SQL codes (packages, procedures, functions) to create data extractions, reports, and listings for post-marketing customer complaint data.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or any related scientific field of discipline along with relevant work experience. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Understanding of relational databases, database programming skills, and tools.
- Demonstrate understanding of basic statistical principles.
- Experienced in two or more of the following: PL/SQL, Visual Basic, JSON, R, Python, or SAS
- Two to five years PL/SQL programming experience is preferred.
- Two years drug safety experience is preferred.
- Should possess excellent technical and organizational skills with particular attention to detail. Basic understanding of standard business processes.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Should have good understanding of various databases applicable in Pharmacovigilance.
- Attention to detail, logical reasoning, and query resolution ability.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in global environment.
- Ability to work independently.
