Purpose
Clickatell is seeking a Sales Development Representative to build and nurture relationships with potential clients for our Managed Accounts and Enterprise Sales teams. As the initial point of contact, the SDR will play a crucial role in qualifying leads at the early stages of the sales funnel. This involves researching potential clients, engaging with and educating prospects about Chat Commerce and our products via emails and calls, before passing them on to the Sales team to finalize deals. We employ a data-driven approach to outbound sales and are looking for a confident and proactive individual to champion prospecting efforts with new customers.
We Do The Right Things-Responsibilities of the Role
- Engage and educate the customer when they enter the Sales lead funnel. Nurture them until they are qualified and ready to be handed over to Inside Sales or the Enterprise Sales teams.
- Research leads and create an analysis of the Prospect before handing them over the respective teams.
- Schedule appointments, demos and introduce leads to their new point of contact to the Managed Account team.
- Conduct outbound calls to cold leads to schedule meetings and generate opportunities for the sales teams.
- Swiftly identify high potential customers which has entered the Sales lead funnel, pass onto the relevant Managed Account team or Customer engagement team depending on the client.
- Develop and lead outbound campaigns from idea generation through to qualified meeting.
- Design and manage Outreach sequences to nurture inbound leads and guide them towards conversion opportunities with the sales team.
- Analyse and report from CRM lead activity and present these findings to management.
- Communicate important feedback from customers that will have any impact or highlight to Inside Sales management.

We Are On A Learning Journey-Requirements of the Role
- Qualification in Sales or relevant field is a plus
- Work Experience
- 5 – 10 years’ experience in lead management, Digital Sales or similar role
- Hands on experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM software), Outreach (or a similar sales execution platforms) and MS Office
- Knowledge and Abilities
- Excellent ability of activating customers and converting leads
- Domain knowledge of SaaS, Messaging Solutions and CPaaS
- Understanding of Chat Commerce.
- Understanding of Sales performance metrics and preparing reports.
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organization and Multitasking skills.
- Ability to time manage and work under pressure.
- Team players with exposure to working with cross functional teams globally.
- Happy to work in a strong cultured environment representing the Clickatell brand.
