About this role in the team:
As a Banking Partner Associate, you will report directly to the US Head of Banking, and play a crucial role in expanding and managing BVNK's banking partnerships across the US. This role is ideal for someone who has great attention to detail, is organised, comfortable with administrative tasks, and able to operate with a high level of autonomy. A strong understanding of the banking and payments industry will be advantageous.
Please note, this role may require some overlap with US (East Coast) hours as it serves the US market.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with banking partners across the US, acting as the main contact person during the onboarding process as well as BAU.
- Support the Banking Relationship Team with day-to-day partner management and organisational tasks.
- Complete banking partner application forms and collate necessary policies, and other documentation for each application (building a strong relationship with BVNK’s Compliance & Legal Teams).
- Act as a point of contact for banking partners, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Assist with KYC onboarding and due diligence with new partner banks and KYC refresh with existing partners.
- Project manage the implementation of new banking partners into BVNK’s network to ensure timely delivery of all tasks.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Compliance, Finance) to ensure alignment and successful partnership outcomes.
- Become subject matter expert for Banking and support Commercial and Operational Teams across BVNK.
- Monitor ongoing performance and suitability of banking partners after launch, including providing regular updates and reports on partnership performance to senior management.
- Assist in the development of processes and frameworks to enhance partnership efficiency and effectiveness.
What we need from you:
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the FinTech, Payments, Banking, or Crypto sectors.
- Proven experience in onboarding and managing end-to-end relationships.
- A commercial mindset, strong attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Proactive, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to perform repetitive and admin-intensive tasks.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
Nice to have:
- Previous experience and appreciation of high-risk verticals beneficial (i.e. Gaming, Forex, Crypto).
- Experience with and knowledge of domestic and cross-border schemes (FPS, SEPA, SWIFT, ACH, PIX, etc).
