Combining deep sector expertise with commercial and regulatory insight, we support organisations to decarbonise, secure energy supply, and unlock value from new technologies and markets. Our Energy Networks practice are looking for Consultants at Senior Consultant - Manager level, to join the team.

Our UK Energy Networks team works with every electricity and gas network in the UK, supporting clients across the full lifecycle – from policy and regulation through to strategy, operating model, and delivery. As the sector accelerates investment to enable net zero, networks are shifting from primarily managing assets to building and modernising them at pace, while also digitising operations and adopting AI in a business-case-led way. We help clients strengthen capital delivery and asset management, mobilise field forces, and deliver technology-enabled transformation that improves resilience, performance and consumer value. Our UK activities have quadrupled in the last 5 years, to the point where we are now recognised as a leading consultancy on all things energy networks for network utilities, policy makers and investors. We need to continue to grow our ever-expanding team of energy network experts – with a particular focus on transformation of network operations from asset management and capital delivery to digitalisation and operational transformation that it enables.

What you will be doing

  • You will deliver client engagements across networks capital delivery and asset management, helping clients plan, build and operate critical infrastructure.
  • You will shape and deliver operating model improvements across people, process and technology, including governance, ways of working and performance management.
  • You will help clients deploy leading-edge digital and AI solutions in a pragmatic, business-case-led way (e.g., digitising field operations, improving asset data, and enabling better decision-making).
  • You will work with client and partner teams to mobilise delivery – from defining the problem to landing change on the ground with engineers and field forces.
  • You will contribute to bids, proposals and client relationship development, bringing insight from our UK-wide network client portfolio.

Your skills and experience

  • You will have consulting and/or industry experience in utilities, networks, water or adjacent asset-intensive sectors (e.g., oil and gas), with a strong understanding of how regulated businesses operate.
  • You’ve built credibility in one or more of: capital delivery (portfolio/programme/project delivery), asset management, field operations, or technology-enabled operational transformation.
  • You’ve supported digital, data, and/or AI-driven change and can translate technology opportunities into pragmatic value cases, target operating models and delivery roadmaps.
  • You bring a collaborative, high-performing team ethos and a genuine passion for the energy transition and delivering outcomes for clients.
  • You are comfortable with travel to client sites as needed (typically 1–2 days per week, varying by project) and value hybrid working with purposeful time together.
