Lead Financial Planning & Analysis (m/f/d)
About the Role
We’re seeking for a Lead of FP&A at ARX Robotics, you will be the strategic core of our financial planning and analysis. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will build and guide the FP&A function, transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive executive decisions. You are the financial architect who ensures our planning processes are as robust and scalable as the autonomous systems we build.
This is a leadership role with deep, hands-on impact. You will not only analyze the business but actively shape it, serving as a trusted advisor to the leadership team. You will provide the financial clarity needed to navigate growth, from new product launches and market entry to major strategic partnerships, securing our trajectory in the European defense market.
What You’ll Build
- A seamless and integrated financial planning process, from the annual budget and quarterly forecasts to the long-range strategic plan.
- Sophisticated financial models covering the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow that serve as the single source of truth for our business performance.
- Clear, insightful performance reporting for the C-Level and board, translating variance analysis into actionable recommendations.
- Compelling business cases and financial models to support strategic initiatives, including new products, market entry, and potential M&A activities.
- Deep visibility into our unit economics and project-level financials, supporting revenue forecasting and margin analysis in collaboration with our commercial and program teams.
- A high-performing FP&A team, establishing scalable processes, tools, and a data-driven culture across the organization.
- Robust cash flow forecasting in partnership with the Treasury Manager, driving initiatives to optimize our working capital.
- Polished, accurate financial materials for board meetings, investor updates, and future funding rounds, ensuring a consistent and compelling financial narrative.
What You Bring
- 6-10+ years of impactful experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or management consulting, with a strong focus on financial strategy.
- A proven track record of building, scaling, or significantly transforming an FP&A function in a high-growth environment.
- Deep expertise in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and developing business cases from the ground up.
- A comprehensive understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow dynamics, ideally within a project-based or milestone-driven revenue environment.
- Proficiency with modern ERP, FP&A, and BI tools (such as SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, Data Studio, or similar platforms).
- Outstanding communication and storytelling skills—the ability to distill complex financial data into clear, persuasive insights for any audience.
- A hands-on, entrepreneurial leadership style, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
- Fluency in English is essential; German is a strong advantage.
- An awareness of the defense industry, compliance requirements, or public-sector contracting is a valuable plus.
