Security Manager - Physical Security (m/f/d)
About the Role
At ARX Robotics, protecting our employees, sites, and technologies is essential to the development and delivery of mission-critical autonomous defense systems. You will initially focus on the role of Security Manager, taking responsibility for building and operating our physical security structures and ensuring that our employees and sites remain protected as we continue to grow across Europe.
In this role, you will report to the Head of Security and combine strategic responsibility with operational implementation. You will further develop security standards, strengthen resilience across multiple sites, and work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to build a scalable physical security program that supports our mission.
What You'll Build
- Overall responsibility for physical security across all offices and production sites, including the joint planning and implementation of measures with site management
- Implementation of technical, organizational, and personnel-related measures, including access control, video surveillance (CCTV), and alarm and intrusion detection systems in accordance with applicable requirements
- Design, management, and continuous improvement of our site security processes
- Active support in selecting suitable security service providers, as well as managing implementation and service delivery
- Planning and implementation of security concepts for company events, visits, and trade fairs
- Support in organizing protective measures for C-level executives and coordinating the responsible service providers
- Commissioning and coordination of site security assessments and audits, tracking the remediation of vulnerabilities, and monitoring the effectiveness of implemented measures
- Coordination of incidents and emergency processes with site management and local emergency and law enforcement authorities
- Development of scalable physical security standards and ensuring their implementation from the outset when establishing new sites
What You Bring
- Several years of experience in physical security within a manufacturing company, ideally in critical infrastructure, defense, aviation security, or a comparable environment
- A qualification or degree such as Master Craftsman for Protection and Security, a Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, or higher. Career changers with an equivalent level of education, relevant professional experience in security, and demonstrable certifications—such as Certified Security Manager, CSMP, or CPP—are also welcome
- Initial experience coordinating executive protection and travel security is an advantage
- Previous service in the military or a security authority, or active reserve service, is beneficial
- Willingness to undergo an official security clearance process is a prerequisite. Existing security clearances are advantageous
- Fluency in written and spoken German is required. You must be able to communicate confidently in English with your colleagues
- Willingness to travel regularly between domestic and international sites, including to high-risk countries
- A confident, proactive, and strong communication style in both physical and digital collaboration, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
Please note: You do not need to meet every single requirement to apply. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to grow into the role and develop their expertise further.
