About the job 

You will join the Account Performance Management (APM) team, composed of 1 APM Lead and 5 Account Performance Managers. We are looking for a new Account Manager to work with merchants in the fashion industry, supporting them in their business growth and long-term strategy. The APM scope represents 95% of Alma’s merchants and 40% of its margin, making this role critical to the company’s success.

You will manage a portfolio of approximately 350 merchants, both online and offline, primarily in the fashion sector. These merchants generate an average annual turnover of €100k to €1M with Alma

While most accounts are currently based in France, Alma’s international growth strategy means you will also manage international merchants. Using performance dashboards and analytical tools, your mission is to identify growth opportunities, maximize merchant potential, and anticipate risks, including behaviors that could lead to merchant churn.

  • On a daily basis, you will:
    • Proactively engage with merchants through calls and emails to monitor and analyze their performance
      • Upsell opportunities
      • Pricing optimization
      • Expansion opportunities (international development, network growth, etc.)  
    • Leverage data to provide actionable business insights, including:
      • Conduct business and financial analyses for low-margin merchants and define action plans to achieve margin targets
      • Contribute to operational excellence, including improving sales processes and merchant automation
    • Stay up to date with fashion industry trends to better support merchants and anticipate market changes

  • Your performance will be assessed based on:
    • Revenue growth (TPV × take rate)
    • Churn reduction
    • Margin increase
  • You will work closely with multiple internal teams, including:
    • Operations
    • Product
    • Sales
    • Risk
    • Marketing

You will also maintain strong, long-term relationships with your merchant portfolio.

 

About you

  • 1–2 years of experience in Account Management, Sales, or a similar role, ideally within the fashion industry
  • Strong interest in the fashion sector and a good understanding of its business dynamics
  • Autonomous, analytical, and comfortable managing a large merchant portfolio
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a strong plus (Spanish, Portuguese, or German preferred)
